A great day out and a great way to cool off when the city gets too hot and dusty, Hanoi Water Park is perfect for a fun family excursion. Located five kilometres north of Hanoi city, the water park features 12 slides and tube rides, a hydrotherapy pool, dive pool and wave machine.
Smaller kids will enjoy the lazy river whilst older kids will love the corkscrew roller-coaster at the Moon Park next door. There is even a 3D cinema and mini-golf attached. The water park is best avoided at weekends when its gets really busy with locals.
Inaugurating on 19 May 2000, Ho Tay Water Park used to be a phenomenal at that time which was the first rank attraction in not only Hanoi but also Northern Vietnam. Huge amount of investment brings to this 35,560 m2 complex the most modern facility in the South East Asia at the time.
The Park is about 7km from the city center which ones may get there by traveling to the left end of Au Co Road or the right end of Lac Long Quan Road. Taxi is the most appropriate type of transportation while motorbike and bus are also good ideas.
Notice that the water park closes in winter while Moon Park is available in the whole year. Ticket price is VND 125,000 (US$ 5) and opening hour is from 8:00 am to 19:00 pm.
